About 4wdexpedition

Since I was young, I have been drawn to seeing and exploring places that were only accessible to me through what I learned in books or saw on the silver screen. It sparked a longing within me to take lengthy road trips and explore the open country. Over the past 20+ years I have satisfied that calling, in some small part, from the seat of a motorcycle. I have ridden through all lower forty-eight U.S. states and on each trip I have been drawn to what lies beyond the paved roads. Now I’m setting out in my Jeep to explore what’s over the hill, beyond the mountain ranges, to experience what lies across the open desert and within the deep lush forests. Coupled with this has been a life-long love of history. Specifically, that of the indigenous peoples of North America and how a population of immigrants expanded and settled throughout the U.S. during the nineteenth century. I'm in search of the sites in-between the most notorious and well-known historic locations. Throughout my overland adventures and expeditions, I will be sharing scenic videos and sharing stories and facts about historical sites I discover. In addition, I will also include experiences of meeting fellow overlanders and the beautiful campsites I find or create!

If you enjoy following my glimpses into American history and overland travels on YouTube, I invite you to support my endeavor through Patreon. You will be granted access to a Dropbox folder containing less known historical places, overland and camping tips, and GPS data files that you can import into your own personal mapping software.
