Wire wrapped beach glass and shell jewellery as well as paintings are my most current loves.
If you've followed my blog, facebook page or YouTube videos, you'll know that I'm creative,  In fact, I've explored making art of all kinds ever since I was a child. So while childhood was some time ago, it does mean that I've learned heaps of crafting techniques along the way that I'd love to share with you! On my YouTube channel, you can watch crafting tutorial videos for people looking to pick up extra tips or learn a new method, of simply get some design ideas for their own projects.

I've also been a meditation teacher for many years and am now creating videos of various meditation techniques, to help access the deeper Self which is creative in nature. It has been my pleasure to witness the graceful transformation in myself and others that regular meditation can bring.

Giving back to you and the global community

Lately, I have the strongest desire to share what I've learned over the years - as one way of saying thank you to all of the YouTubers who I've learned from and also, I wish to share my experience to others.  YouTube is such a great platform for me to provide inspiration, share tips, and create tutorials to any creative spirit that is looking for what I've got to offer.

If you would like to help

You can help. So while every video I make for YouTube is free and always will be, if you feel drawn to helping me share crafting information so others can benefit - quality tutorials without the hefty college fees - then I do appreciate you!

You don't need to break the bank: You can choose to throw me a 'tip' of as little as $1 a video to fund my videos, or if you want to get more involved then there are various levels of patronage you can choose from.  The great thing is, whichever level you choose, you get something back!  From getting to see extra pics with a $1/video pledge, to shout outs on my videos, to patronage-exclusive discounts on sales of my jewellery, I hope you'll agree that it's a win-win situation.

At any rate, I offer you a BIG THANK YOU, (1) for watching my videos and (2) for making a pledge and getting involved.

If you've read this far and want to know more about me and what my main creative passions are, keep reading:

A brief history of my work - starting with Paintings

I originally created in water colours, then embraced acrylics, painting everything from tiny teddies to wall-sized murals in restaurants. I'm very fortunate that while it has never been a full time job for me, painting has somehow been a 'paid hobby', as people have often approached me seemingly out of the blue to commission my art work. I've had the pleasure of painting presents for friends, commissioned works for retiring school principals, and artwork and murals for businesses.

Here's a mural I painted for an Indian restaurant in Beerwah, Queensland, Australia:
Every time I've been asked to paint something, I am extremely grateful for the opportunity.

Felt, eco-printing, jewellery

In more recent years I expanded to make felt.  It  all began with a dream I had about a strange material with no warp or weft. I dialed up Auntie Google the next day and discovered that people actually made felt out of unspun wool. Well that started a whole new creative journey for me!

One of the techniques I embraced was of felting onto fine silk chiffon which means it's possible to create extremely fine drapable material that is very luxurious and light weight. I like to push my boundaries on nuno-felting to see how little wool I can use to trap how much silk onto the chiffon, to get gossamer fine scarves.

Then I discovered eco-printing, which is a fabulous natural way to colour material using found leaves and plant material. Each unbundling brings surprises of colours and prints that brings back the feeling of being a kid at Christmas!

Beach jewellery: Along my crafting journey I've also brought my love of everything ocean (that's been featured in some of my felt pictures), to include ocean inspired jewellery where I wrap shells and sea glass embellished with pearls and crystals, with sterling silver.  Here is a composite of some of my recent beach jewellery.

Meditations to open to your inner creative Self

Meditation techniques can be as simple as mindfulness: focusing on sounds, or your breathing, or the details of a flower; or they can involve imagery in guided meditations. Practised over time and with self-reflection, meditation can open us up to inner calm, insight, intuition and the creative ideas and energy of the passionate, creative, inner Self.  If you haven't tried meditating before, I'd encourage you to give it a go.  With over 26 years experience and following my own inner guidance each meditation I produce is my gift to you.

So, in summary...

What do you think? I'd love to hear from you.
I do appreciate you visiting my Patreon page, and if you feel inspired to make a pledge, I wish you a very big thank you.

Until next time,
