I have been a substance abuse counselor for 15 years and a mental health professional for 25 years. I have helped countless amounts of clients learn about the disease of addiction, deal with abandonment issues and issues that they have due to childhood and recent traumas; including grief and loss issues.

I specialize in trauma, substance addiction, co-dependency and abuse issues as well as domestic violence and family issues. I use processing trauma and past issues as my main form of work within the therapeutic alliance and come from a cognitive, behavioral and psychoanalytical perspective when it comes to engaging with clients.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Certified Hypnotherapist (NBCCH), Master's Level Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP) and a Master Addiction Counselor (MAC). I have a B.A. in Psychology from the State University of NY at Stony Brook and a Masters of Science in Education with a Major in Counseling with distinction from Hofstra University in NY. I have also taken Graduate level classes at Florida Atlantic University to advance my studies.

I tend to break through surface level issues and get to the core issues a person has in order to promote change and well being in the individual. People tend to open up to me due to my empathy and understanding of trauma and it's effects on their behaviors.
