Ben Rowley is a New York-based singer, composer, and producer. In recent months, Ben’s work has been performed at the Skirball Center, the Provincetown Playhouse, New York Society for Ethical Culture, the Green Room 42, and Boston Symphony Hall. His music has been selected for showcases throughout New York, including the 2017 and 2018 New York Musical Festivals, the First Stages showcase, Gallatin Theatre Troupe’s Uncharted, NYU Composers Collective, and the NYC Climate Justice Conference. In 2017, Ben was chosen by Alan Menken as the recipient of the Menken Scholarship for composition. He is the former music director of The Mixtapes, and a two-time ICCA award winning arranger

Current projects include:

1) “Millennial,” a new movie musical written by Ben Rowley, combining elements of modern pop, r&b, hip-hop, and classical into a brand new musical aesthetic

2) “Manhattan Beach” a new stage musical being developed in New York about an 18 year old girl’s coming of age in Brooklyn in the late 21st century, taking place in a society where computers are able to influence people through music and sound. 

3) A personal album by Ben Rowley, being released in the spring of 2019.
