Let's make games together

What is Bluff Street?
Bluff Street is a fictional world where the residents are known as Bluffians. The idea of Bluff Street is to create a universal shared world in which all games we develop will interact with. Items you collect in Game A can be used in Game B that sort of thing.

Ok so what is Bluff Street Lab?
Bluff Street Lab is designed to invite fans and patrons of Bluff Street to partake in the creative process of establishing the world of Bluff Street and maintaining backstory continuity.

Bluff Street Lab is also is the place where we pull the curtain back of game development.  Lab is where we discuss code, game engines, beta test software and provide feedback on games and video game related APIs,tools and creative assets that are being developed.

Bluff Street Labs allows you to be as involved in the entire process as you want.  Maybe you like learning how things work....or more importantly how things don't work.

Why the Patreon?
Patreon allows you to directly support our effort at creating fun and unique games.  We believe strongly that if the player is involved in the development of a game and help build and maintain the game universe and story driven content, we are able to release a game that we know you will enjoy because you are involved in the process.  This is a new social experiment and we welcome the transparency that Patreon allows us to communicate to you.

What does my money actually pay for?
The funds that is provided to us through your monthly support will goes towards keeping the servers online, purchase of various software development kits and various software such as the Adobe Creative Suite and various 3D modeling applications.  But to be completely honest funds from Patreon will also simply help keep our lights on...ie pay the bills...

Ok that is great and all but what do I get every month?
Depending on the level of support you are willing to provide.  As a way to say Thank you Bluff Street Labs will provide to patrons various patron-exclusive content, ability to ask developers questions, partake in the creative process, be the first to beta test software and as projects get released to the public you will receive major discounts as well as FREE access to various finished projects,  Some projects might be exclusive to patrons and never released to the public.

Current patron exclusive content are as follows:

Street Code - an in depth developers journal on how various aspects of the Bluff Street components are programmed.

Sketch Pad - a collection of sketches, 3D models, and concept art produced by the creative team.

Wednesday Stream - For a block of hours on Wednesday, patrons will be able to watch live either code being developed, assets being created, or  various components being tested.

What projects are currently under development that I can help support?

Curio - an NFC tag device which enables physical items to bring into the in-game world.   This falls under the "Toys to life" category of gaming.  Curio device can be played by itself against another player over the Internet or connected to a device  to power up a Curio enabled game.

Curio is NOT designed to bring characters into the game world (although it can) but rather think of it as a inventory management.  Need battery for your flashlight in the game?  place a Curio battery and transfer that item to your game.

Curio items will take many forms such as figures and playing cards.

Bingo Forever - A bingo game designed to be played by everyone.  No matter what time it is there is a bingo hall  calling out bingo numbers.   Players are free to join a public and private bingo halls.   Between bingo numbers calls, Players can play in mini games and compete against each other to win in-game prizes or increase the size of the purse that the bingo winner will receive.

COS - COS stands for Chalk Operating System.  COS is a mobile application that is a player's bridge to the Bluff Street world.   You are able to review your Bluff Street inventory items and control which items should go to which game.   Review your high scores, look up tips and tricks as well as play a few games embedded in the software
