What is Breadworks?

"Revolution is not an apple that falls when it gets ripe.  You must make it fall."

Breadworks is a collaborative media cooperative that focuses on developing media for and by the working class people.

However, it's also more than that.

Why is Breadworks?

"Instead of being a voice for the voiceless, why not just pass the mic?"

All of us realized a problem: that popular media, the news and entertainment industries no longer represent the character and interests of the working class people.

At the same time we have recognized that online spaces are being used to recruit and organize reactionary violence.  We built Breadworks as method to both develop the means to give working class people their own media platforms but also to build the principles and organizational structure to combat the growth of reaction in online spaces.

Breadworks is an experiment in horizontal organization, transparency, solidarity and mutual aid.  We want to build a model for effective development and serialization of working class media that is owned and operated by the very people it represents, the working class people themselves.

Who is Breadworks?

"Socialism is the people.  If you are afraid of Socialism, you are afraid of yourself."

Breadworks is international.  We have no country nor any language.  We are working class people from all over the globe interested in sharing our ideas, stories and experiences through a platform built in our image to speak directly to those who need to hear us.

We are the marginalized and immiserated, the exploited and the precarious.  We are disabled and neurodivergent, we are the fast food worker and the uber driver, the warehouse worker and the nurse.

We are a wildly diverse bunch of people all committed to a common program of education, agitation and organization.
