Writing, for me, is more than a passion.

I'm passionate about a lot of things: yoga, teaching, being a good person, making a difference in the world, the environment, etc. Those are all good and honorable things that I do daily or regularly to do my part in being a citizen of this planet.

But writing? Writing is a need - an urge. I get twitchy and feel like something is missing if I don't write in my journal or work on a story regularly. When asked the question of what I would bring with me to a deserted island I say would bring my journal and my favorite pen.

In 2014 I started a blog to describe the experience with my mother's dementia. September 12th of 2017 she died, and in August of 2018 I self-published (through Amazon) Darling's Dementia, a shorter version of my blog with ending chapters about her death and the eulogy I wrote for her.

My mother's death prompted me to finally pursue that which has always silently defined me: my writing. I have short stories and at least two books waiting to be shared.

Patreon is a way to hold myself accountable to write regularly, finish what I've started, and get reader feedback without forcing my story on someone. With your help as readers, financial/emotional supporters, and/or critics, I hope to realize my dream of publishing more and sharing the stories and characters and worlds that live in my heart and want to see light.

My hope is to present chapters on a weekly basis, and possibly more often if things fall into place at a faster pace.
