Thank you for finding me on Patreon!

I am an artist and founder of Cafe de la Culture, an effective, innovative, traveling venue inspiring social change through community events. I love creating multi-sensory experiences that move people to action. I believe that the world will be a better place with more women in leadership and in celebrating and embracing diversity of gender, culture and sexual orientation. I believe that it starts with poetry, art, conversation, common humanity, good food and wine.

I've created a new poetic, ensemble theater production called “The Alchemy of Imperfection,” a poetic piece which explores and illuminates intersectional feminism and universal female experiences that defy cultural boundaries. This performance is part of my new event, “The Courageous Vulnerability #MeToo Tour”.

Cafe de la Culture is known for drawing an extraordinary blend of diverse participants socio-economically, culturally, and professionally. The most exciting thing to me is bringing a room full of people together of different ages, cultures and backgrounds who might not otherwise meet each other, to explore an important question that's difficult to answer and even talk about. When people come in the spirit of curiosity and discovery, that's the space in which vital ideas and new vision is born.

I am fundraising to create more events and bring my new project, "The Courageous Vulnerability #MeToo Tour" to more cities and communities nation-wide. I launched on Jan. 28, 2018 at The Invisible City in Denver with the topic, "How Can Men Support Women to Speak Up and Be Seen?" receiving rave reviews from a diverse audience live and on livestream globally!

The current West Coast tour includes a live theater performance: The Alchemy of Imperfection, followed by a conference panel discussion with live audience Q & A. After previously presented to audiences in Paris, L.A. and Boulder, CO, I launched on March 25 in honor of Women's History Month, at Minna Gallery in San Francisco and am now on my way to Taborspace in Portland, OR on April 15, then to Seattle, WA on May 6. Next, I aim to continue touring this maleand lgtb inclusive, community-building, world class, theater-for-social-change performances and conference panel discussions around the #MeToo movement to more cities and communities nation-wide. In each city, I curate a new group of local activists, artists, academics and luminaries from diverse backgrounds, ages and fields to join in the conversation. These events are also always Livestreamed from each location, to be inclusive of a global audience. I am now developing podcasts of conversations and round table discussions leading up to each event. I need your help to keep going and to make all of this happen.

Your monthly contribution helps keep this project in motion and gains you access to behind-the-scenes content including new upcoming podcasts, music recordings, videos, early access to our new book of poems on women's topics and more.

Join now and be part of a national movement to bring change from within community at its core.

With thanks and gratitude I invite you to come be a part of this journey and movement for intersectional change.

You can easily change your monthly subscription amount at any time. $1 is all it takes to get on board.

“It was eye-opening to hear and feel into a deeper exploration of how I can better support women. It was a privilege to witness such an experienced, intelligent, embodied panel of men and women. Each one brought something new and challenging to my attention. I feel I left a slightly different person and fully committed to becoming as different as I need to be.” -Uri Talmor, Audience Participant and Licensed Professional Counselor in Boulder, Colorado

"I loved seeing the discussion evolve through counterpoint: between analysis and creative expression, studies, and personal stories, the structured and the abstract. I heard voices that I might not have heard without seeing this incredible collaboration.” -Geneva Turner,Livestream Audience Participant and Recent College Graduate in Woodstock, New York

SilviaVasquez-Lavado, Keith K DubWilliams and Rev. Dr. Matthew Fox, among others contributed their powerful voices, all in service of how men can be part of the solution in a world where women can be safe and men can be too. Brilliant performance art in 5 languages, dance, theater and a conference panel. Literally an entry point for all who want to join the conversation.” -Elana Yonah Rosen, Audience Participant and Advisor at Courageous Conversation Global Foundation, San Francisco, California

“I thought I had heard all that could be said about the trending topic of the #MeToo movement...then I listened to this conversation and realized there are many things I haven’t thought about yet. It was interesting to realize that feminism is related to vulnerability and empathy. As a man, I will try to be more aware of observing when these things are -and aren’t- present in my circle of friends.”-Francisco José González, Livestream Audience Participant and Project Manager, Mexico City, Mexico

“I thought the experience was very moving and eye opening…and I felt an overwhelming sense of empowerment. The speakers and their positive outlook showed how to change the situation for women. It was a worthwhile experience, especially for me at a young age, that opened me up to an uncomfortable conversation. I think that you should keep doing this all over the world, especially in schools where young kids can change their future instead of regret their past.” -Mya Parra, Audience Participant and High School Student, Boulder, CO
