Compassion Van - Sally G.is creating Stories of Compassion for the Earth, Animals and People
About Compassion Van - Sally G.
I’m traveling the country in my ‘94 Chevy G20 van to seek Stories of Compassion. Will you please help me stay on the road?
Since leaving Maine in late April, I’ve been to 11 states and 12 Farm Animal Sanctuaries. I’ve done cleanups with outdoor product companies like REI and United By Blue as well as cleaned up lakes, streams, rivers at National Parks and beaches. Everywhere I go I do a litter cleanup!
I’ve interviewed everyday heros like Jenny Van West who fixes musical instruments and gives them to immigrants and to organizations like Baltimore Food Rescue who rescues an average of 5,000 lbs of food a week and distributes it to those in need.
Recently I even helped with Hurricane Florence cleanup at Possumwood Acres Wildlife Sanctuary outside Jacksonville. NC. Unfortunately I punctured my arm on a branch and had to get 2 stitches. I’m healing well, but it thwarted other cleanup efforts.
As I recover and heal at the home of a childhood friend in NC I am planning the next phase of my journey in Asheville, Atlanta and maybe even Tennessee! I look forward to all the Compassion Stories that the future holds.
I have successfully supported myself the past 51/2 months with savings and by working a few weeks in NYC in August. Will you assist me to stay on the road and continue my journey?
My monthly bills before food and gas totals $400. A $50 donation will feed me for almost a week. $20 will keep me on the road for 100 miles. I am not asking for much, but anything that you may be able to contribute would be an enormous help!
The other way you can help me is to spread the word! Please pass along this email or share one of my posts or videos on social media. You can find me on social media, Facebook, Instagram, andTwitter as @compassionvan!
