About Dani Hensley
While each federal law enforcement and intelligence agency has an online records archive, those archives are very limited, and it becomes necessary to submit Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Requests for records to various agencies. Those agencies can and often do charge substantial fees even to media requesters.
Your patronage will help keep my work alive by sponsoring the cost involved in securing records from United States federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies that you, the patron, and other members of the public have a right to see.
My work centers on government transparency and accountability wherein I create news and information pieces, as well as entire projects based on historical federal law enforcement and intelligence cases that shaped national and world history, and current events when the law allows agencies to release records to the public.
Patrons get first access to my new work, as well as first previews, and will also be the first to know about plans for new work I have planned.
ONLY my patrons get exclusive access to patrons-only benefits such as access to finished written reports & analysis / commentary / opinion pieces I create based on real-life federal criminal investigations, and intelligence documents from one or more of our nation's 17 intelligence agencies
My patrons will also get patron-only access to public records projects and related things I develop in the future.
Your patronage also keeps my rent and bills paid, helps put food on the table, and helps provide for other human needs.
Other things your patreon membership here helps with:
Buying and maintaining equipment such as computers, external drives, CD / DVD storage media, software, and other business needs.
Creation of and maintenance of an operational website, website hosting, and related things.
Travel to the National Archives and Records Administration. Sadly, NARA will not provide any person with FOIA access to some records they hold when those records are available for access by the public at their facility in College Park, Maryland
