We have raised alpacas, ducks, chickens, geese, goats, dogs and have harvested many big family gardens.
I have made fruit gelée from our fruit trees, soups made of weeds, and I have canned and frozen everything in between. We harvest what is available; birch water in the spring, spruce tips, polypore mushrooms, etc...
We have grown over 32 varieties of tomatoes with much success, and over 20 000 garlic bulbs with a little less success...
I have turned alpaca fleece into beautiful handfelted scarves, and can cook up a storm with a few simple ingredients from the garden, field and forest.
I have watched plastic disintegrate into trees, and have observed the skies for many years. Our fast paced consumerist world has no time for this, and quite frankly, no need for this (quite the opposite)
I dwell on teaching you, the importance of slowing down, paying attention. From the mouvement of the trees to where your food comes from. My goal is to help you reconnect to nature.
