Emmet is a web-based shared media library.  You use it like you would use any streaming or downloaded media service, but the content you can access is the shared libraries of all Emmet's users.

It's taken a long time for Emmet to come together: according to my svn server's commit logs, the earliest commit in the current version of the system was on "Mon, 03 Sep 2012"; the first entry on the project changelog is dated "2010-12-22".
