Make Every day the Best Day of Your Life!

Hello, my name is Jasmine. I've been living away from my home country, the United States, for almost 5 years now. Currently, I'm in Japan!

Recently...I quit my job and told my landlord I'm moving out. I have no job lined up.

Why?
I decided to chase what makes me happy, and a childhood dream. I always wanted a successful business. I believe quitting my job was the only way for me to completely focus on making this dream a reality...and putting pressure on me to achieve it.

Am I crazy?
Maybe a bit. But my track record for doing such antics has already gotten me pretty far, i.e.:

  •  Taking a position working for a Vice President for the World Bank when I was unqualified, but it allowed me to grow exponentially
  •  Moving to Peru and helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses in any way shape or form...when I had no prior one-on-one experience. (Glad to say I made some excellent connections that I still keep)
  •  Moving to Japan after receiving the idea only two hours prior, and thus improving my Japanese (still not great though)
  • Quitting my job in Japan with no prospects in sight so I could find work that allowed me more time to myself (yea, I kind of did this once before now)
  • Quitting my job to start a business from Japan

Isn't this irresponsible?
Well, it depends on how you look at it. I've decided to be responsible for my happiness. If I make my happiness my responsibility, I think I'm doing what's right.

Where am I moving to?

I don't know, but I have until the end of May.

Where does Patreon come in?
Well, while I'm working on my English teaching website (which is already up and running), I'll be needing a way to sustain myself here in Japan. I don't have much to give, but I thought documenting my progress would be fun to look back on and maybe others would like it too. :)

Goals
$6 of $1,000 per month
My past rent was about $600/month and very far from everywhere I worked (I worked in multiple locations). Sometimes it'd take me 2 hours just to get to a work location.

I would like to get a place closer to where I will be able to service my customers (in person customers), as well as work with people I will need to hire to help me in running technical aspects of my business.

Once we hit $1000, I will choose 10 Enlightizers to interview and feature in my podcast or video each month for 10 months.
