I am by no means a medical professional. I am just a poor Average Joe, maybe like you or maybe not. I have seen and heard a lot about health and the need to watch my dietary intake. That has been a constant theme or issue throughout my life. I am a 44 yr old gay man that is overweight with Diabetes, high blood pressure, and enlarged heart and Depression. In August 2017, My Father passed away due to complications from Non-Alcoholic Cirrhosis of the Liver which is one of many results of being a diabetic and not trying to keep it in check till later in life, if we had been on a better path for our dietary intake plan he might not have passed away from that issue. For the past year and four months, I have been operating on coast, screwing on a fake smile and giving the standard reply of "I'm fine" and "everything is O.K.".
I decided to change my life and get out of the funk I was in. I figured it was time to wake up and return to the land of the living. I thought about changing the way I looked and felt, but how would I do that and stick to it. Then this past September my church started a wellness/ diet group.
It is like a class and support group for any and all people that are wanting to change there lives where food matters. In this blog, I will bring you some information and let you know where you can go to get more information about the topic I post about. We have been using the information from 4 prominent Doctors in the field of food healing.
Dr. Josh Axe and his book 'Eat Dirt', Dr. Amy Myers M.D. and her book 'The Autoimmune Solution: prevent and reverse the full spectrum of inflammatory symptoms and diseases', Dr. David Perlmutter's book 'Grain Brain', and Dr. Don Colbert, MD.'s book 'Let Food Be Your Medicine.' I was able to find all of these books at my local Library you might be able to as well. Within this blog, I am going to log my number for the first couple of months of the new year at least. The numbers are My Weekly Weight and My Daily Glucose (Blood Suger) and Blood Pressure and Pulse. That way we all can watch the effects of my personal changing efforts.

Thank you for stopping by and please enjoy this attempt at making me a better me and I hope you find improvement here too.
