The Institute for Neuroscience and Consciousness Studies (INACS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (established in 1990) whose mission is to expand the scientific understanding of human consciousness by conducting scientific research and offering educational opportunities to the public. E. Marcus Barnes was a long-time INACS board member and research scientist much respected for upholding scientific integrity when investigating controversial topics (e.g., Jungian typology and handwriting, a double-blind study). In his honor INACS has created the E. Marcus Barnes Research and Speaker Series to fund both new research in neuroscience and consciousness studies, as well as lectures and podcasts by eminent scientists, to educate the public about these topics. We are currently seeking to fund this project.
