Hello, everyone! Thanks for taking a moment to look at my page and for your interest in Derelict!

And if you aren't familiar with Derelict, my ongoing webcomic hosted at Webtoons, check it out HERE!

I am always working on a handful of projects, but for a long time, Derelict has been the one I have been most eager to tell. The characters came to me almost ten years ago, but the story didn't really gel until last year. I have loved the response so far and am really excited to tell this whole story to the world, or at least the portion of the world that it connects with.

The biggest obstacle to getting the story out there is TIME! I write, draw and color every pixel of Derelict myself, and as you can see, the artwork is quite intricate. While I could simplify it for the purpose of rushing through the story, if I did that, it just wouldn't BE Derelict. For a lot of reasons, money can be traded for time (for instance, if I raise enough, I am considering hiring a colorist, which would save a considerable amount of time and allow me to release episodes much faster), so here I am!

If you enjoy Derelict and would like to pledge, your help is much appreciated. Actually, if you hate Derelict and would like to pledge, I'd appreciate it even more (although I would be baffled by your motives). Basically, I will appreciate every dollar pledged and promise that it will go toward making the best and most punctual comic I can produce! As a patrong, you would be bringing something into this world that isn't a focus-grouped corporate product, reboot or adaptation of a toy from the 80's. Isn't that reason enough?

Thanks!

So this is the "tip jar" level, wherein your primary reward is my sincere thank you and the gratification of knowing that you are helping bring something cool and new into this dumb old world!
Pledge $5 or more per month
My gratitude is all well and good (and valued above gold in some very small social circles) but this is where it starts to get a little cooler. For each episode of Derelict, I'll release an annotated "director's commentary" version for 5$ patrons, which adds random behind the scenes info like inspiration for characters, story hints, etc.
Pledge $10 or more per month
Not only do you get my sincere thanks, the "director's commentary" version of Derelict: Original Recipe (not its official name), but you also you get exclusive access to a short (1-3 panels) companion strip released in-between regular Derelict episodes that flesh out some of the other citizens of the Derelict universe. Learn about all those weirdo background characters! Get hints about what the heck is actually going on!

In addition to everything listed above, help design a Derelict bot! Supply the specs and I'll design and draw a character based on your suggestions, then work him into Derelict... somewhere... in at least two panels. I get to name him/her/it, though. I don't wanna be stuck with a character named "Steve-holt-is-awesome" or "Botty McBotface," although now that I think about it, neither is much dumber than "Gegg."

An original penciled panel of Derelict! In ten years, when (if) some big Hollywood studio released the sequel to the smash hit animated Derelict movie (dream big, I always say), you will CERTAINLY want to show how ahead of the curve you were by flaunting your original panel from the webcomic that started it all, right!? Panels are usually about 4 x 4 inches (on average) on bristol board.
Goals
$0 of $300 per month
Derelict will be released once every few weeks no matter what, but a couple of extra bones in my pocket allows me to focus more exclusively on it and helps pay for art supplies and Adobe subscriptions.

Ideally, this number would be high enough to allow me to quit my day job (maybe in the future; who knows?), but let's not get ahead of ourselves!
