I started Jtrev23 Reviews, an indie game review blog in which I help give the developers feedback about their games. I'm using Patreon as a type of donation page for people to support my work and keep annoying ads off of my site. Thank you for taking the time to see my page and thank everyone for their support.

Also here is a breakdown of what I cover:

INTRO

I always start off with an intro in which I introduce the game I'm reviewing and who it was created by. I may or may not add my personal feelings towards the game at this point and I always try to express how much time I dedicated to the game before I reviewed it.

INITIAL THOUGHTS

In this section I express the type of game it was and what my experiences with the game good or bad. I may or may not compare the game to other games I have played before but I usually try to at least reference it in relationship to other types of games within the same genre. Finally I like to add in things I feel the developer should know or put anything I feel should be in the review but doesn't fit in another category.

PRESENTATION

For me presentation is everything about the game from a non mechanical point. While I do talk about the visual graphics here, I also like to talk about the audio assets and even the story as well. I also talk about the level design, mapping, and even the characters sometimes as well.

SPECIAL REQUESTS

Sometimes a developer wants specific feedback on a certain area of their game so I'll give it it's own section in the review for me to cover.

ENGAGEMENT/GAMEPLAY

In this section I first talk about the engagement of the game and what made me want to keep playing more or what made me want to stop playing the game. Then I transition into the gameplay itself and explain how I felt about the mechanics. I usually try to include specific qualities about the gameplay mechanics that I liked or disliked.

BUGS/GLITCHES
I will sometimes add a bugs/glitch section in the review in which I talk about if it doesn't really spoil anything. If it is something very specific that would be a spoiler then I contact the developer directly about any issues I had.

OVERALL
Here I wrap up everything and say my final thoughts. I also try to express what type of players would like this game and who I recommend play it.
