Who are we?
The Kingston Biodiversity Network was formed in May 2013. We aim to provide an overview of nature conservation in Kingston, to support targeted conservation efforts in general and increase the impact of each project, individual and group. We do that through our Green Heroes of Kingston podcast, a regular monthly newsletter and quarterly talks around practical conservation activities that will be broadcast live. This is all aimed at encouraging and supporting practical action on the ground in whichever way you want to do it.
We’re really thrilled you’ve found our page and are interested in joining our green community, you don’t have to live in Kingston to benefit from what we are doing. As our patron you will get early access to our podcasts and videos, you’ll get a say in who we interview and the questions we ask, and we’d love to have your feedback on what more could be done to green our local environment.

Why are we on Patreon?
We’re here to share the message of hands-on activities you can get involved in that will help make our neighbourhoods a greener and more beautiful place to live. To get that information out to you requires time and money. We need around $600 a month to have someone who finds podcast guests, interviews them, does the editing and puts out the MP3s as well as researching the newsletter, writing it up and sending it out. By joining our community, you can be a part of the process and have a say in the direction we take and the questions we ask.

What you get
In return for your patronage you will get, membership to the Kingston Biodiversity Network, early access to our podcasts, the chance to propose and ask questions for the podcast, contribute to the newsletter and even get interviewed on one of our podcasts. You will also have a say as to who we invite to speak at our quarterly events and who we interview for our podcasts. We want this to be a thriving community that takes on board what our members are interested in, and we look forward to hearing from you too.
