Kloosterhof Bio-Bee-Reserve is a unique project using an endemic bee project as a hub for restoring a circular local eco-system that will offer sustainable food production
We invite you to be part of a very special multifaceted project for restoring the sustainable circular characteristics of a local eco-system and using our experience as education for our society. Guided by principles of biological (certified) bee keeping and farming we intend to continue our project with the goal of a completely circular eco-system that sustains itself and its inhabitants. One specific spoke to our hub is to offer space for multiple biological bee-hives, targeting a minimum of 50 biological hives and praying for 200 ...! We are really exited to share more with you!

Kloosterhof Bio-Bee-Reserve is a nonprofit foundation based in the middle of the Netherlands, near the town of Woudenberg. The reserve was formed to give back land to nature, stop all pesticide use, grow biological vegetables and herbs, plant a food forest, offer endemic bee strains a biological area to live in, develop hazel trees that grow bigger hazels, give academics space for research and to offer the local community opportunity to enjoy nature and especially educate people about the potential of biological and circular local eco-systems. In the future we also intend to house a knowledge center, of course on the biological local eco-system, and also on integrating various energy generating systems for use in self-sustaining (zero-energy) houses.

This is a unique project in the Netherlands and might be in Europe or even globally. It will show and educate people about biological and bio-dynamic principles and show that circular eco-systems have the possibility to sustain our societies in the future.
We hope to inspire others to grow circular local eco-systems too!

Your financial contributions will flow into the foundation we created, so it is not our money,, but the money of the Bio-Bee-Reserve, and thus your contribution will be directly invested in the purchase of bee-hives, the expansion of the biological vegetable and herb garden, the planting of the food forest, creating an educational garden for schools and the ongoing development of the circular eco-system of the reserve. The reserve is lovingly named "De Kloosterhof", referring to the cloister that once was in this spot, where monks must have grown vegetables, herbs and fruits too in their garden called "hof" in a biological way. We continue what was started by them, and we go further "back to nature", so that the circular local eco-system thrives, is a learning for others, and is of benefit to all our children, and their children in the future...

With gratitude,
Bio-Bee-Team "De Kloosterhof"
