About Living the Jazz Life

Living the Jazz Life is a new series of filmed interviews with great musicians, who talk with our host, pianist-composer-producer Lafayette Harris, Jr.   The series can't continue without your help!

Our first guest is the great Kenny Barron, and we hope to follow with people like Jonathan Scales, Esperanza Spalding, Barry Harris, Herbie Hancock, Cory Henry, Michael League, and on and on...

Put your money where your values are! For the price of a cup of coffee each month (and a cheap one at that) you can be a part of this valuable project.

LTJL
is a companion to the long-running series Living the Classical Life, brought to you by that series' creator, Peter Hobbs.

Production values for the series are high.  Episodes are shot with multiple 4KHD cameras and professional sound recording.  That means that this series can't happen without the help of a lot of good people.  Each episode costs a minimum of four grand, and that's with crew getting paid below market rates, and doesn't include travel, room, or food for our guests or us.

We'd love to be able to release an episode every month.  You can make this possible!  It's easy to join LTJL.  Just choose a support level from the column at the right.  Help bring Jazz to the world by becoming a "family" member!  And tell us what you think, in the "Community" section under the tab up there near our logo.

Thank you very much.

$8K is the absolute lowest amount required to produce two episodes (one shooting day), and includes pay for a professional crew and gear rental (though not at market rates), food, travel, location fees, and post-production (also not at market rate).
