You shouldn't.  You should be busy investing in yourself and your own creations.  That doesn't always necessitate money.  However, should any of you have already been successful in becoming satisfied with who and where you are and you feel compelled to pay a pittance forward,  this next bit's for you:

What makes an artist an artist?  Is it their work receiving widespread acclaim?  Their work earning the artist a living?  Or is it perhaps a particularly innovative use of a medium?

I think an artist is an artist because of their eyes.  Lots of people are recognized for their work, but not every artist sees how valuable that is.  Lots of artists make a living out of it, but few continue to see all the other struggling artists they've left behind.  Most artists like to think they've painted their magnum opus using nothing more than a similar brush and canvas just like their inspiration XYZ did decades or centuries ago to create their life's masterpiece.

Regardless of literal physical medium, every artist's true canvas lies inside the hearts and minds of the witnesses of the art.  A true artist always peers deeply into the hearts of souls of his audience's canvas and paints brushstrokes that delve even more deeply.

Defining artistry in this manner renders many modern conceptions of art rather ironic.  I'm not claiming to see anything more than what's been right in front of me all along.  I'm hardly the first one to have been blind for the longest time to the beauty surrounding me in every moment.

I'm here to help others make similar connections about the truths in their lives.  It has nothing to do with being in this day and age of supposed connectedness and information - there's a reason "humanity" also means benevolence.  Let's not lose sight of that.
