Who is that who stands there, holding a pen like a sword?

I'm Metronome I Hear, writer of fantasy and horror and wonder all at once. I am a writer, an author, though I haven't published much just yet. Just fanfiction. Just stories. Small ones. Incomplete ones. The ones so many would laugh at, and others would covet for their own.

I love fantasy. I love horror. I love magic and mystery. I love adventure and tragedy. And that is what I write.

I am in the process of writing several stories, some of which I know may not ever see their end. "There are Stars in Your Eyes", is one of the stories I am writing, and one that I am very proud of. It combines many of the things that I love in a story full of imagery and references. It is a story I intend to complete one day, even if it takes years. I've already been writing it for more than two.

Why do you write, young story teller, why speak up?

I started writing when I was very young. I used to have horrible nightmares quite often, and my mother suggested using poetry as a means of dealing with them. I wrote poetry, and then started writing short stories, and eventually I ventured into writing longer tales. I used to go on long walks with my little sister and point at various things and make up stories about them on the spot. I started carrying a little notebook around with me everywhere, filling it up with poetry and snippets of dialogue and imagery until it was quite literately falling apart because I used it so much. Writing, story telling, crafting these tales... It's become something of a way of life for me. It is so ingrained in my being that I cannot imagine a world where I do not write.

When a time came that I was asked what I wanted to do with my life, writing seemed like an obvious answer.

Why are you here, sweet woman who tells these tales?

I am currently writing a novel by the name of "Fallacy of the Void", and I hope that by starting this page, I can generate enough interest in the book that I will be able to have enough money to pay for all the expenses associated with publishing a book.

"Fallacy of the Void" is a story that started out as an attempt to convert "There are Stars in Your Eyes" into original fiction. It has since then taken on a life of its own and become its own story entirely. It follows the tale of Allen Rayburn and Theodore Steele, a pair of young men trying to make their way in a steampunk esc sort of city, full of magic, violence, and intrigue. They run a detective agency that specializes in supernatural phenomena, and end up getting pulled into all sorts of interesting cases as a result.

And what then, would we get if we support your plight?

I can't offer much, I'm afraid. Just sneak peeks. Snippets of writing, behind the scenes, live updates... Things like that. It doesn't sound like much, I know, but that's all I can offer in exchange for your support. I don't have much, that's the reason I've come here in the first place. But your support, no matter how small, helps so, so much, and I am so, so grateful for every bit of it I get.

Thank you for your help. With it, I hope to see this novel published.
