Dear Patreon,
I am the founder and artist: NoX. Times are very tough for emerging musicians. Illegal downloading and the pay to play culture are only two of the factors that impede the survival of working musicians. Increasingly, artists are turning to crowd funding. Crowd funding can work well for established artists but is another barrier for emerging artists. Funding opportunities have become increasingly competitive. I thought that education could provide a way forwards but, during the final year of my honours degree, I am facing homelessness, burdened by student loans, and looking to the prospect of joining food bank queues, when I want to be contributing to healthy communities.

What I Can Offer You
A unique opportunity for involvement in the direct sponsorship of an emerging musician, focussing on ground level personalised support to meet the real needs of artists.

In the short term, I will soon be launching my website and, unless you chose to remain anonymous, your support will be acknowledged on this site with a prominent link to the Patreon.

Currently, I am planning to release music as multi-format in vinyl, CD, and digital download. Unless you chose to remain anonymous, the Patreon will be credited on each product as an official sponsor.

I continue to provide live performances. Unless you chose to remain anonymous, the Patreon will be declared as an official sponsor on all advertising, marketing, and promotional materials.

As NoX grows in reputation, profile, and income generation; the acknowledgment of your support will be increasingly valuable, reaching ever wider populace. And as an artist, I am committed to responding in-kind and continuing to grow supportive communities.

Why I am Writing to You
To create a realistic prospect for income generation, NoX needs sponsorship. Sponsorship can take the form of providing opportunities (such as paid performance opportunities), resources (such as DJ-ing and studio equipment); or services (such as mastering and publishing). Typically, sponsorship will take the form of financial support. I am open to specific arrangements for which we can negotiate the details.

Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
NoX.
