I wrote this story out of a need to pull myself out of my own darkness.

When I was in high school I spent a lot of time writing (you know, when I was supposed to be paying attention to the boring history documentaries?) and I'll be the first to admit that I might not have been good at it, it helped me get over some of my teen angst.
when I graduated and went off to college, my writing took a back seat because college, but It was always there for me when I had the chance to give it some attention.
That was until I lost my little brother to suicide.
My family and I spent a good few years trapped in this dark vale that we couldn't get out of. No matter what I tried to do to distract myself (painting, gardening, and even yoga) nothing could bring a little sliver of light back into me.
One day I came across some of my old notebooks from high school and quickly discovered that they weren't full of chemistry scribbles.
I found myself laughing and crying, but even more so cringing, at my own young writing. I found a small ember in those yellowed pages.
The next six months went by fast, but at the end of it, I had a rough draft. not only that, I left my sorrow in those keystrokes and I watched the fire roaring with life. I knew I needed to share that with the world.
That is why I'm here. I swore to my brother that I would get this book published, but I wanted more than that. I wanted to share this with anyone else who might need an escape from their own darkness. I found a way to raise money (because editing and publishing cost quite a bit) and share with anyone that needed it along the way.
Every Patron will be able to read my story in sections, and in the future, I hope to find something a little extra for some more tiers if you like it that much (I'm always open to suggestions on what you would want to see).
Please, join me on this journey and be a part of this story that has been fifteen years in the making!

~***~

There are things in this world that you were not meant to understand. The only lie bigger than your place on the food chain is what your governments aren’t telling you. The one thing standing in between peace and chaos is an ancient Order of soldiers, and their only heir has been missing for ten years.
On a chilly spring night, he watched his childhood slip away in his mother’s eyes as a monster made of darkness tore her to apart. That night the heir to the Order of Eden proved himself by destroying the creature that took his mother away, only to find himself alone and forgotten.
No one came for him.
Now, eighteen-year-old London spends his life wishing he had let the demon have him. Every day is a struggle to survive the creatures and demons that want a taste of Razcliff blood, though not because they are strong enough to take him.
What is the point of fighting so hard to live when you have nothing to live for?
Little does he know, someone is looking for him; someone who has an offer he can’t refuse.
Something is coming and it has the potential to set chaos loose upon the world. Is it possible to set aside a hatred ten years in the making? The Order of Eden needs an heir, but does the heir need the Order?
There is a darkness inside London and he doesn’t know if anything will be able to ignite the fire and bring him back.

Here's your opportunity to read The Order of Eden before anyone else! (in all its imperfectly unedited glory :D )
