My name is Rihard Lobenwein and I am a representational painter from Slovenia. I hold a bachelor’s degree in cultural heritage and a master’s degree in fine arts. I paint since when I was 14, and since then I have continuously exhibited my works in both national and international exhibitions. In my paintings, I strive to achieve a sense of anachronism by combining visual languages reminiscent of the past traditions with subjects that explore contemporary problematics. My medium of choice are oil colors.
WHY AM I ON PATREON?
Getting patrons would give me the abilty to dedicate more time to doing what I really love. Art enables us to speak and comunicate without the use of verbal language and - even though it is a tough endeavor to make a living out of art exclusively these days - I feel like I have something important to "say".
WHAT DO I HAVE TO OFFER?
I would love to share the knowledge I acquired through my painting journey with my patrons. Even though I studied fine art, most of the knowledge I acquired through the years was by incessant trial and error, so why not share what I learned with you? For about the price of a coffee per month, you will get access to my patron exclusive feed which will give insights on the techniques and practices I adopt when creating my works. These include work in progress pictures with detailed descriptions about the specific stages of development and various painting related insights, explanations and thoughts. A higher tier is also available and includes the ability to get a thorough written critique of one of your works per month.
