Hello, fellow Patrons! My name is Sam Bateman, and I am an aspiring filmmaker/musician/cartoonist/animator from the marvellous land Down Under. I run several YouTube channels, but I have 3 main ones:

  • Kyoshin-Tekina Studios - this is where I upload my own, independently-made short films, many of which have been screened at short film festivals and even won awards. Such films include: The Dandy Lion, a mockumentary about my pet cat in the style of David Attenborough's nature programmes; Pinning Down on Luck, a stopmotion animation about a person made out of coins fighting a pair of scissors over possession of a pushpin; Aptitude with Attitude, a serious yet heartening documentary about a young woman with Down Syndrome and her gifts and talents; and Wood Under the Bridge, an unofficial pilot, of sorts, for a series of animated shorts I'm planning to make about a character named Adele Wetter, a young girl with Asperger's Syndrome who aspires to become a professional musician.
  • Sam Bateman's Music - pretty much exactly what it says on the tin; my channel for any videos specifically music-related. However, it's not technically "my" music, since most of it is just arrangements and covers of popular music, although I'm willing to upload my own original music if I ever get around to that. My arrangements are also available at Sheet Music Plus, via links in the description of each individual arrangement on YouTube.
  • ARC the Clarinet Master - one of my oldest channels, dating back to 2008. So what is this channel for, you may ask? Well, simply put, it's a variety channel - I just upload whatever miscellaneous videos I feel like making to that channel. Originally, I also uploaded my music videos there, before I created my music channel in 2015, and my current channel name is derived from the plethora of clarinet covers on the channel. At the moment, I'm currently into YouTube commentaries, where I analyse other people's videos and debunk their points (à la Doodletones or SkiHound) and it's likely this channel will become mostly (if not entirely) about those in the near future.

So yeah - if you're interested in any of that, you may donate to my channel so that my production values will improve with better equipment, more instruments for music covers, etc. - and feel free to make requests for any future videos!
