WHAT IS STEVE ROGERS' NEW YORK?
SRNY is a free history blog that provides fanfiction writers, Marvel fans, and history lovers with researches into Brooklyn and New York during the inter-war period of the 1920s-1940s. The topics range from food and consumer goods, to employment and transportation, and everything and anything in-between that would have helped to shape a young Steven Grant Rogers and James Buchanan Barnes.
It's a real-world history blog through the lens of beloved fictional characters.

WHY SUPPORT THIS WORK?
This blog and its follower bring me so much happiness and direction over the past 3 years, but it also takes a remarkable chunk of time to produce. An original content post of 300 words can take anywhere from 5-15 HOURS to research, process, write, edit, and post.
While I am happy to commit this time when I can, I am in a difficult financial situation and the stress of trying to make rent is really weighing on me.
If you have found this blog useful to you fanfiction writing or personal life, and have the means to, I would welcome your support of the work I put into this research

PERKS
Other than knowing you're helping me, I am offering a number of perk-tiers for supporters! These include snail-mail mailing lists, sponsoring a post on the blog, and having me as a history beta for your fanfiction work.
