S-Tier Gaming has been hosting tourneys for two years now for the Oklahoma Smash Scene.  While we originally were founded as Project Metro, we grew to be so much more and expanded our initial dream of reviving OK Project M to including Melee events and hosting regional events thus far.  We have shown nothing, but dedication to the community by investing every single dollar we've made back into the community in the form of food, pot bonuses, new equipment, and most notably, our stream equipment.

Now before you go thinking STG is starting a Patreon to pay TOs or anything like that, it's not.  We started this organization as a passion project, and it'll stay that way ALWAYS which is why we need a little extra help from you guys if it is all possible.  The primary focus of this Patreon is as follows...

Because our current venue wants to upgrade our current setups to HD set ups ONLY, a consequence of this is that many of the CRTs that are on location are currently in a dangerous position; it's either we figure out a way to store them or get rid of them.  The latter is not an option we want to consider at all.  These CRTs are the lifeblood of Smash purists and how we can host bigger and better events; a fact that cannot be argued.  Not only that, but when STG plans to throw bigger events in the future, more setups almost always means quicker, smoother brackets, more opportunities to throw down in money matches and friendlies, and more opportunities to have fun side brackets.

Enter the Oklahoma CRT Preservation Project (OCPP).  With a little bit of your help and the venue provided to us by the community, we'd like to purchase storage space in order to keep these CRTs (and any future CRTs donated to us) alive and for use for the community.  The goals of the OCPP are as follows:

1. Hosting bigger events with the extra set ups
2. Give new TOs at different venues a good start when it comes to acquiring set ups for either game
3. Giving CRTs to players who need one (1 per person cap that DOES NOT have a CRT)
4. Ensuring that CRTs do not end up by the wayside, giving them some love and care, and may be used going into the future

We will NEVER sell these CRTs as long as we can keep funds for them to be stored properly, (and even then, we'd prefer to give them out in the event we couldn't take care of them ourselves).  No one other than STG will have access to these CRTs without our express permission so you can be assured your donated equipment will be taken care of.  These can be used for smashfests on a loaner basis and of course, always given back to the original owners upon their specific request.  The following are the things we are looking to afford with a general price tag attached to each.
1. Monthly Storage fee ($45-60 per month)
-Currently we are looking at a 10x10 space in order to store most of the CRTs we have comfortably without stacking them up on one another

2. Supplies to Maintain the CRTs (varies)
-Most of these items are luxuries we'd like to have to take care of the CRTs and are a ONE-TIME cost.
  a) Windex - to clean up the screens and outside housing
  b) Coverings - this can be trash bags, Saran wrap, or bubble wrap; whatever we can afford to keep bugs from living inside the CRTs and slight protection for the screens.
  c) Cheap carpeting - to keep the CRTs off the ground directly and a small cushion.
  d) Foam - provided to fill trash bags with an extra coat of protection around CRTs if they aren't going to be in use for a while.  Also provides a useful reusable cast for that CRT.

With any excess money provided, STG wants to provide more for the community in terms of more on site Wiis, pot bonuses, PR art, and general content creation.  We have other goals in mind, but right now, our greatest concern is for keeping these CRTs in community hands and always being available for our events, future TOs, and players that are just looking to have a good set up without having to shell out for a computer that can handle netplay.

Even if you can only provide a dollar, a dollar is infinitely times more than zero dollars.  We will work on actual suitable rewards going into the future, but we're doing our best given the immediacy of the situation at hand.  Even if you don't want to support us due to financial issues, personal reasons, or just outright hating Patreons in general, that's completely fine; thanks for giving us your time and consideration at all.  STG will keep providing you with our weeklies and vods just the same going into the future. <3
