Welcome to my Patreon page, and thank you for considering becoming a patron of the arts. I am a  Composer/Producer/Band Leader/Arranger/Multi-instrumentalist/Educator. I compose music that is meant to touch your soul, engage your mind and warm your heart. I compose for many different ensembles and genres. I feel I have a unique perspective on music which bridges the worlds of Classical, Jazz, World Music, Funk/Hip-Hop, Tango, Afro-Cuban, and Jewish music. My primary ensemble is The Musical Art Quintet and also Trio Garufa, as well as a newly formed ensemble, El Tangueros del Oeste. I hope you love what you see and hear on this page, and if you do, please consider joining my team, and supporting my artistic endeavors! All patrons will get instant access to my music library, over 4 hours of great music!

Thank you so much,
Sascha

My personal journey as a composer is ever expanding with a new project, Kanta Judezmo, about the Ladino language and culture, and a growing list of credits including an orchestration recorded by the Sonos Orchestra in Prague of Tim Weed's Banjo concerto, Morro Glenn.

The Musical Art Quintet is on a journey to explore all aspects of what can be done with a string quintet. We hold to no genres, and we seek collaborations of as many varied types as can be. Often collaborating with percussionists, drummers, singers, Flamenco, Ballet, Tango, and Modern dancers, Banjo, reeds, brass, DJ's, rappers, turn-tablists, pianists, etc... The quintet is a vehicle for musical exploration. The driver of that vehicle, is Sascha Jacobsen, who composes and arranges most of what is performed.  This is music to be heard live, felt live, there is no replacement for being at a live chamber music concert. It is a feeling that inspires the soul. We are exposing modern audiences to the chamber music experience with our own brand of rhythmic, fiery chamber music.

Los Tangueros del Oeste is my brand new Tango project, mixing electronica with Original Tango compositions to honor Piazzolla and all the Tango greats with great music for dancing and fun.

Kanta Judezmo is an hommage to my Ladino speaking ancestors who left Spain in 1492, settled on the island of Rhodes, and eventually made there way to California! kantajudezmo.com
