Crystal Sanders-Alvarado

Founder/Captain SEADAWN Ent. & Fish Revolution
Pronouns: she/her/they

Crystal leads with a unique perspective and vision thru an entrepreneurial lens to community conservation and with a fierce drive to challenge entrenched ways of thinking. Crystal has spent her life turning her passions into her profession. A Marine & Fisheries Scientist, a Yoga & Mindfulness Instructor, and a diligent Project & Logistics Management Professional her lifework focuses on studying the intersections of food, mindfulness, and music in order to harness the capacity of inspiration to create positive and impactful change. Crystal's diversified background in science, research, business, and conservation, united with keen organizing skills, give her the knowledge and expertise to lay foundations for a more just world by working to transcend outdated belief systems that regard environmental health, social justice, and economic progress as mutually exclusive.

Crystal is a critical thought leader and a self reflective philosopher continuously seeking answers to profound, practical (often provocative) questions, and steadily seeking wisdom to guide her in sowing seeds of impactful, tangible, meaningful, and measurable action, change, and healing of our communities, our land, and our oceans. As a researcher, she is a perpetual student of life in a constant state of unlearning, learning, and evolution. Crystal offers independent consulting services that facilitate critical discourse, critical thinking, learning, and action focused on creating change at the systematic root of the problem. She specializes in seeking and sharing knowledge thru meticulous research and writing, and by creating immersive experiences, programs, and educational offerings for individuals and organizations.

Crystal lives and breathes this work every day and to help keep herself centered and grounded she tends to be found leaving the ground and climbing 200 feet in the air in old growth redwood trees, diving deep under the ocean surface to swim amongst the beauty of ocean life, deepening her yoga practice, exploring her ancestral traditions, playing on the beach with her puppy, or simply sitting and reading at her home in San Francisco.

When this community grows to 100 patrons I will launch a patron only restaurant and business dining guide mapping out sustainable seafood restaurants to frequent and ones to avoid until they clean up their act.
Patrons contributing $22/mo or more will have access and be able to submit businesses they'd like to have reviewed.
