I've been writing online since founding the first women's group blog, Blogsisters, in 2001. Other early blogging work included the founding of the off-kilter gonzo marketing group blog, Gonzo Engaged in 2001, and my personal blog, allied in 2002. Writing "in community" is what keeps me connected, alive, grounded. To make money, though, I ran my own content, PR, and social media agency, The Sessum Group, Inc for the last 20 years. I recently accepted an opportunity to meander back inside Big Business and become a full-time creative who gets paid to work with great people*.

But writing on the web is what heals me. It saw me through my 30s, my 40s, and more than half of my 50s (so far). I blogged with my baby, who's now in college. About my marriage, of now 33 years. About my neighbors--you may remember their pig and dog. I blogged about marketing and public relations, about life, death, losshuman frailty, and the growing white space of absence we're all trying to fill up. About technology and the wonder of water. I'm not going to stop now.

But I am committed to exploring new platforms. And so I followed Howard Rheingold here. Let's see what happens.

Tell me what you'd like me to write about. I'll do my best to come up with 300-500 words that delight you, and if you like, I'll include or suggest folks I think you should check in with to further the conversation. No guarantees you'll love it, but if you do, you can feel free to take it, run with it, and use it as you see fit. I don't know what happens if you dislike it -- I'm new to all this. But we'll figure it out. $50 per post.
Goals
$0 of $500 per month
I will do a video or podcast for each $500 I earn.
