When I began my dance journey on April 29, 2011, I never dreamed how important dance would become to me. Through dance I have learned to connect to people in a new way, to relax and (in my role as a female/follow) let someone else do the driving, and to express myself through music and movement. I've met many amazing dancers with inspiring stories and, as a writer, have written about many of those people. On 1 October, 2017, I launched my online magazine 'Ballroom Dance Connections.' This magazine is written almost exclusively by me, with a few articles borrowed (with permission) from experts in a specific field. Due to increasing demand for links to my articles in a format that does not require purchase of a full issue or a full year of issues, I am taking a few select articles to which I have the full rights and making them available on this page and on my website, https://spannsr.com. More articles are on the way, most of which will be available to all of my Patreon family. Although I began this journey on my own, it will not be possible to continue without the help of my Patreon family.

Thank You!

A very heart-felt thank you
to those who choose to contribute to this project. Every contribution encourages me and, believe me, everything helps.

A huge thank you to Patreon for providing a venue through which creative people can follow our dreams as we share our adventures.

$500 each month means video blogs about dance, dance costumes, and other accessories. I'm relatively handy with needle and thread, but I need a new sewing machine and better quality material for performance wear. Can I create a dress that is appropriate for a dance competition? Should I have a rhythm dress in addition to a smooth dress? Can I design and sew a dress that serves as both smooth and rhythm? I think so, but I need help.
