Werk! You will not only get my eternal gratitude (thankyouthankyouthankyou!) BUT you now have access to the private Facebook group only for $5+ Patreon Peeps ("The Hamilcast: Patreon Supporters") where I post behind-the-scenes videos, photos, and generally fun things. Members of the Facebook group are also given the opportunity to submit questions to guests! Think of it as your All-Access pass to the process of creating an episode and everything that goes into making this podcast. Plus! It'll be a way to chat with other listeners and be part of a very active community that GETS IT and gets YOU; no one has any chill in this safe space and it is awesome. Come hang with us!

"New patrons will be charged the day they become a patron, then on the 1st of the month going forward. Example: A patron joins your Patreon community on February 25th for $10 per month. They will be charged $10 on the day they join, February 25th, for February patronage. On March 1st, 3 days later, the Patron will be charged $10 for March patronage.
If an existing patron increases their pledge, they will be charged the difference between their last pledge value, and the new pledge value. On the 1st of the month (and every 1st of the month thereafter) they will be charged the full amount of their pledge until they cancel or edit their pledge.
Example: A patron signs up on January 5th for $10/month. The patron is charged on February 1st for January patronage. On February 25th, you change your payment type so that patrons are charged up front. On February 26th, the patron increases their pledge to $15. The patron will be charged $5 on February 26th. Then the patron will be charged $15 on March 1st for March patronage and they will continue to be charged $15 every 1st of the month thereafter until they cancel or edit their pledge."

(Here is the link if you'd like to pledge more than $10 per month. Thank you to those of you who do!)
Okay, so we're doing this...
Hi friends! Gillian here. Welcome to The Hamilcast's Patreon page and thank you so much for taking the time to check it out, I appreciate it more than you know.
Before I go any further we want to let you know that The Hamilcast will always be free. Forevah. And evah. And evah and evah and evaaaahhhh… If you can’t or don’t want to contribute, that is 100% cool and you’ll still get to reap the rewards of our podcast getting better and better. I'm incredibly proud of how the show has grown since January 2016, but I know it can only improve and I believe with all of my heart that you deserve the best podcast I can possibly make.
I’ve said it before, but our listeners - that’s you - are fantastic. The Hamilcast has the best listeners in the world and I will challenge anyone who says otherwise to a duel. Not really, but that’s how serious I am about how much I love and appreciate you. Not only are you smart, funny, and enthusiastic, but you are so generous I want to scream. The podcast has been gifted Hamilton tickets, custom Pop dolls, homemade pillows, personalized drawings, shirts, friendship bracelets, the list goes on. But you are non-stop because you keep asking how you can support The Hamilcast… and that’s why I'm doing this.
From the very beginning, The Hamilcast has been about community and I want to keep the community going and work with you to make this show the best it can be. I pride myself on this accessibility and that’s what the Patreon is going to be about. I promise that I'll make y'all proud.
The Hamilcast is a full time job. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE IT (seriously, it’s my favorite thing), but it’s a full time job. The catch is that I an *actual* job is needed to keep living in the greatest city in the wooo-oooo-ooooo-ooooOOOORLD, giving me access to the Hamilton cast and crew I've been lucky enough to interview so far. Cue Hamilton: Eliza, I’ve got so much on my plate. Just imagine what I can do if I had the ability to work less, and podcast more. If I can could do the podcast full time I'd be happier than if I was chosen for the Constitutional Convention. And so would you! Ultimately, doing The Hamilcast full time would mean better episodes, meetups, events, merch, the works. Remember, the Patreon will always be evolving! As it goes on, I’ll be adding more reward tiers that will include meetups, early access to events, etc. The more time I can dedicate to The Hamilcast, the cooler the rewards will be. It’s going to be awesome.
Since January 2016, I have fanned this spark of a podcast into a flame. The goal is to continue to put out fun and engaging episodes that only get better, and continue to connect with you, our amazing listeners. One of the most pleasant surprises I've experienced since launching is finding a place in the Hamilton community and the engagement I have everyday with people from literally all over the world. Your support not only helps the podcast to keep growing but lets you come along for the ride. Lezgo!
I have the honor to be your obedient servant,
PS: In case you stumbled upon this Patreon page in your internet travels and have no idea what The Hamilcast is about…
The Hamilcast is an American podcast about an American musical about a bastard orphan. I (Gillian Pensavalle) talk all things Hamilton including how it brings people together, finding Ham references in everyday life, and the general brilliance of the show: from people actually involved in the production, to the minds behind some of the best social media accounts inspired by Hamilton, to teachers who use the music to get their students excited about history, and everything in between.
Notable guests include Hamilton cast members Lin Manuel-Miranda, Christopher Jackson, Javier Munoz, Mandy Gonzalez, James Monroe Iglehart, Andrew Chappelle, Seth Stewart, Lexi Lawson, Michael Luwoye, Jevon McFerrin, Karla Garcia, J. Quinton Johnson, and many more! I've also spoken to dressers, conductors, and people behind the scenes at Hamilton; Broadway stars Anthony Rapp, Ilana Levine; Ham4Ham videographer Howard Sherman; Nicole Scholet from the Alexander Hamilton Awareness Society; President and CEO of Graham Windham Jess Dannhauser; and the ladies of @HamiltonsSquad, @TheHamWing, and @HamiltonAsDogs.
The discussion of Ron Chernow's "Alexander Hamilton" starts in episode three. If you're interested, please feel free to read along with us; we'll be going chapter-by-chapter and provide detailed and reference-heavy outlines for each #Cherpter. But there's no pressure! There's plenty to talk about and this is not a super serious history class.
When I started this podcast in January of 2016, I could not have imagined the incredible community that has built around the show and the amazing experiences that have come my way. Thank you to everyone who has listened, appeared on the show, contributed, or reached out in any way. This podcast for you and I absolutely love making it.
It would also get me that much closer to my goal of being able to do The Hamilcast as my full time job! This podcast is a true labor of love and I appreciate every one of you. Thank you!
