This is a tier ONLY FOR WFNY writers, podcast hosts, etc. We created this tier so that WFNY contributors could join up, get involved with the Patreon community and then we're going to give our people their money back. If you aren't a WFNY site contributor / writer / podcaster, please don't choose this! Thanks!

THREE and you won't be anonymous any more. If you contribute $3 per month you will have your name listed on a page on the website indicating how awesome you are. (This will be especially awkward if our enemies contribute, but we're willing to risk it.)

About WFNY

Waiting For Next Year started as an independent site and for the past ten years it's remained independent. We've had numerous writers and contributors come in and out over the years, but what has prevailed is a distinct voice in the Cleveland sports media landscape. Across multiple platforms including podcasting, video, and of course the written word, WFNY has maintained a consistent standard in a noisy sports opinion world.

The site is basically a volunteer operation. Nobody has ever had WFNY as their full-time job. Nobody has ever been able to count on WFNY to be as beneficial to their financial world as they would a pizza delivery job. That's not us complaining as much as it is explaining the reality.

Like NPR or PBS, WFNY is pretty much a non-profit that relies on readers, listeners, and watchers for support. This Patreon page has become a really great way for WFNY to keep the lights on and continue to pay for hosting, a little bit of technical support, some occasional graphic design, and have a little bit left over to give some money back to the people who create the content.

If you appreciate an independent voice in the Cleveland sports scene that gives away its content for free, please consider supporting our mission to keep doing that.

Thanks!

We have no idea what an editor will cost exactly, but we think we can get someone to do it part-time and figure out the legal issues of having a part-time employee if we have $1000 per month as an initial budget. That will pay dividends to all the content creators we have at WFNY who get pulled into helping edit posts before they hit the main page.
