About Wright's Robotics

Growing up in the 80's I watched many great movies, none as amazing as Short Circuit.

Ever since I first saw Short Circuit it has been my dream to build a full scale replica. As a child, I built various versions out of cardboard and foil, the older I got, the more detailed and accurate they became, but no matter how hard I tried they were never going to be like he was in the movie.

Fast foward 20 years and thanks to 3D printing technology and a bunch of very talented people releasing J5's CAD files I now have the ability to build a full scale replica.

As you can see from my facebook links, I have already built the head and neck assemblies and he has already had his first public apperance, but that is just the beginning, I intended to build him all, and this is where I need your help.

I want to build a complete replica, not to keep hidden away, but to take all over the country for people to enjoy and inspire others to build their own J5's. I would also love to do charity events too.

This is an expensive project and I need supporters to help me complete it.

Any donation big or small will go towards realising the dream and spreading the joy that is Johnny 5 with others.

Every supporter will get a personal thank you from me and updates on the build and the parts that any money that was raised purchased.

All donations will completely go to this project to purchase the materials, components and tools to complete the job.

Thank you for your time and support.

Goals
$0 of $100 per month
When I reach $100 dollars a month I can begin to release bi-weekly Youtube videos documenting my progress and showing what parts were purchased thanks to your donations
