You may be wondering: how does a computer hardware, software, etc. guy become an outdoorsman and go off-grid, completely changing to a different lifestyle? And why on earth would you do it? Follow me to find out.

While you may not be able to specifically relate to my reasons and my problems or my past and why specifically I'm hiking the PCT, I'm sure you can relate to this: life is about balance, and that is something I have never achieved. While not many would also consider the Pacific Crest Trail a balanced lifestyle, I'm sure many of you have had to make the choice between your job and your personal life many times, and that is what I'm doing now. Most people hiking the PCT have already been through hell and back and are looking for answers. Or scenery. Or something. They're also some of the nicest people you'll ever meet.

So, here I go. Meanwhile, I would like to give you all a front seat to my adventure. After the end of the PCT, I will get some nice photos (I'm packing a nice camera!) and possibly a film uploaded. In the meantime, if you'd like to support me you can do so here at Patreon, and I humbly thank you. You can live vicariously through my experiences. You can pick my brain and show your interest from the comfort of your chair by sending me messages and following me along the trail. You can gain access to a life you may not know anything about, and maybe that will open up some doors for you, too. Or you can just pledge to buy photos. Whatever the case, entertainment is sure to follow!

Check out some of my past photos at my photo site!

I specialize in nature photography and stitching panoramas (have not uploaded panoramas yet). These photos along with PCT photos will be available at the $49 reward level.

Get rid of your old food, or send me gear

Send a message for details and for help with shipping.
Gear will be carefully evaluated and may not be accepted, but I appreciate the offer!
Food should be:
  • Not (much) past expiration
  • Shelf-stable (Not require refrigeration)
  • Calorie dense (Not contain much air)
  • You can also send me an Amazon order of food or schedule a Walmart or Sam's Club pickup order online.
Any food I receive that I can't use out on the trail will be given to others who are helping me on this hike or donated to a food bank. (Someone will appreciate it!) Thanks.
