What is Patreon?
Patreon is a service where you can pledge to send a regular payment to creators, so they can support themselves and keep making new stuff.
Patreon is better for creators than advertising or sponsorship. The content is 100% uncompromised, payment is more predictable, and creators don't need to stoop to clickbait content or other shady practices.
Patreon means that creators serve their viewers, not advertisers or corporate sponsors. And where the viewers choose what deserves to be made and who deserves a voice.
How often will I end up paying?
You pay per month. I always work on a current project or a game jam at least once a month so there are plenty of updates every month.
Why do you need the money?
I would like to turn my passion into a profession so I can deliver more content to you.
What's in it for me?
All Patrons pledging $1 or more get updates about games I am making, behind the scenes stuff, opportunities to help with upcoming games, and a terrific collection of articles and resources that should be of interest to anyone in game development.
Plus, you can take part in our regular Game Development discussions and join our Discord server with a special role.
Every month, Patrons earn points which can be redeemed later for Prizes:
Supporter - 1 Point
Bronze Tier - 3 Points
Silver Tier - 5 Points
Gold Tier - 10 Points
Diamond - 50 Points
And those who pledge $5 or more are welcome to join me in future game jams I participate in, given there is still room in the party. Furthermore, I can also offer mentorship to Patrons depending on my availability.
Will I get previous Patron-only content when I subscribe?
Yes, but only after your first payment has been processed (which happens at the beginning of the month). Points are accumulated each month as a Patron.
Anything to declare?
I like helping people, so hit me up on discord if you need advice, a mentor, or just a friend you can count on.
