Being a natural science illustrator and cartoonist, I am hoping to one day soon tackle a graphic novel biography of Maria Sibylla Merian. But before that, I want to complete a simpler story. So follow here for my work to always become a better cartoonist.

I am currently working on two larger comics: Cob and one with animals. These are in addition to the smaller comics for anthologies and my own personal enjoyment.

Cob (working title) is a 96-page (ish, probably longer) science fiction story. I originally started this in 2013, but have since gotten an MFA in comics and rewritten the story from a castle setting to a sci-fi setting. I even drew 33 pages of the original castle setting story. I will keep you up-to-date on my progress here and share in-progress images. The entire story is broken out by page already.

Badger Comic (very much a working title) is a "doodle comic." This is what I call comics where I make no big plans. I drew the first 5 pages without any planning. It turned out to be a murder mystery. (No shock there considering how many of those I have watched on TV.) So I needed to figure out some of the details of the story. But with only a loose idea of what the crime was, I will still try to doodle out this comic with as little pre-planning as possible but I do know what happened.
I also make many little comics. I will share those here, too. $5+ patrons will likely get access to most of these little side comics as a PDF. My goals for 2019 are to finish Cob and start the Merian book.

$1 or more per month

Your pledge would be greatly appreciated, and you will get access to all the behind-the-scenes Patreon-only posts. I will post at least twice a month.

Science in the mail
$10 or more per month

In addition to the patron posts, you will get a postcard in the mail from me each month from a natural science illustration I did at some point. I will write some random nature facts to you that may or may not have anything to do with the image on the postcard.

I will post a Patron-only video of me working on my art each month, either a comic or general natural science.
