Hello, I am Keren Philosophales better known as Arddrake! I am a Twitch.tv streamer, artist, game designer and writer. I'm here to focus the the latter of my passions - writing. I am currently writing a science fiction novel that I am calling 700 Days. It takes place in the distant where humanity is fighting to survive against a technologically superior and utterly alien aggressor. However the focus of this novel will be on an isolated planet that had been passed over for colonization, now home to a refugee camp. Twenty years after a catastrophic event that left them unable to leave the planet and severed contact off-world, our story begins.

Here is a small excerpt:
Azami Yukimura opened her eyes. The light was just too bright now, she couldn’t stay asleep. She needed to fix the break in her shutters. A ray of light bled through and bored directly into her eyes. She never fixed it though — it was the only thing that got her out of bed before noon. Azami pushed herself upright and stretched. A long, cat-like affair that contorted her athletic frame in a variety of poses one might not have thought possible for a human. Anyone who witnessed it was always left with a quizzical look on their face, but Azami never cared. It felt too good. She pulled her covers to the side and set her feet on the floor. Cold. She was only wearing a tank top and broekie - it had seemed warm enough last night. She swore this planet was bi-polar with it’s rapid temperature swings.
Her body realised it was hungry at that instant. Azami shuffled over to her icebox, shivering a little. She stubbed her toe on some engine part she had left on the floor last night. Uttering a swear beneath her breath, Azami crouched to pick it up. Right. This was the power converter she had found yesterday. Azami stood upright and looked around to find a spot to put it. It was impossible to tell where her garage ended and where her room began anymore. Exasperation set in quickly and she placed it on the nearest clear space. She needed to eat before she got to tidying up the place. If she got to tidying up the place. Opening the ice box Azami was reminded there was nothing in it. Right. She would need to go to the market then. Azami quickly threw on her favourite pink leggings, a skirt, a warm jacket and her second favourite pair of shoes. Her favourite still had that hole in them. Need to get them fixed some time soon. Halfway out the door she remembered she’d need something to barter with. She quickly grabbed the power converter from the shelf and was on her way.
