About Rebecca Thomas

All I've ever wanted to do is be creative.

While I've dabbled in Lego building, drawing, singing and even had a brief cake baking business, my main outlet for my creativity, since the age of nine, has been writing. Using an imagination fueled by books, films and TV series, I started write my own fiction, took part in online role plays, and even wrote parody scripts with my friends. I submitted my first script to the BBC Writers Room when I was in my mid-teens and I cannot tell you how over the moon I was when I received it back with feedback. This meant that someone had to be interested in it enough to read it from beginning to end.

I took that feedback to heart and pressed on. So far, I have two self-published books and a completed script under my belt. My favourite genres to write are drama, science fiction and fantasy, but there's always a good dose of humour in there too.

I'm proud of the work that I've been able to do around working full-time and part-time editing jobs, but I would like to -- over time -- start to dedicate more energy to the thing that I love: writing.

If you choose to become a patron of my work, then I will do my best to keep you engaged with insights and sneak peeks on a regular basis, as well as showing ample gratitude wherever possible. If you can't afford to become a patron, then please feel free to keep track of my progress using Twitter.
