Who are you?

Hello wayward readers, I am Ash of Yggdrasil. Feel free to call me Ash.

I'm just your local genderqueer with a love for writing, gaming, and collecting random artifacts like dolls, bones, and lost books. For over 14 years, I have been interested in storytelling.

What do you write?

I have written professionally, creatively, and academically. The vast majority of my short stories, poetry, writing exercises, and book reviews can be found at ashofyggdrasil.blogspot.com. My longer series will be put on tablo

I have thrice been nominated for the Haas English Award. My works included: an essay on “The Uselessness of the One-to-Ten Pain Scale,” a creative nonfiction short titled “Flatline,” and another creative nonfiction short titled “My Dog Dies at the End.” I'm very proud to announce the latter will be published in Switchgrass Review by the end of 2018.

I have contributed to The Radical Notion, my university's news section, and miscellaneous idlings for undisclosed entities. I'm also the Associate Editor of Creative-Nonfiction for The Windward Review.

I also make fun queer t-shirt designs and poetry art on RedBubble.

What is this Patreon for?
Patrons will be granted first access to many of my creative endeavors. This includes short stories, flash fiction, poetry, art, games, and anything else.

Any money gained will be used to further my work. For example, gas money to attend any writing meetups/workshops, being able to commission someone for cover art, hiring sensitivity editors, etc.

Chances are, I'll update this section as I go and figure things out.

Thank you everyone!

A Heartfelt Hamlet
My heart weeps, overwhelmed that people are interested. It begs you to celebrate with me.
The first ten people to pledge will not only get a special place in my heart, but will also receive poems either dedicated to them or on a (appropriate) subject.
