About Better World Ed

Hi! We're Better World Ed. We're a small determined bunch of storytellers and educators that came together to bring amazing social, emotional, and academic learning to every child, everywhere.

Too many youth don't have the support they need to become socially and emotionally brilliant: to be mindful, empathetic, and compassionate through the challenges we see in our world.

And we face big challenges. The knots we get in our chests. The fights we have with our loved ones. The discrimination, prejudice, and inequity we see in our families, workplaces, and communities. The class bully we don't know how to support. The violence we see persisting in our cities and in our world.

These challenges are trees and they share the same root: for generations, social and emotional learning (SEL) hasn't been a priority.

And when we do teach SEL in schools, it’s not the most engaging experience it can be. Read: social and emotional learning can't feel like a lecture. Look how that worked out for math.

So that's why we're here.

We create "Empathy Challenges" to make SEL the best part of everyone’s day. Through captivating human stories, we get kids hooked on learning about new people, cultures, and perspectives. Hooked on flexing their empathy and mindfulness muscles.

Teachers and students tell us Empathy Challenges make them feel more curious, kind, empathetic, and motivated to make positive change in the world. We've even heard kids say they're starting to like math!

Like a dream come true, right? We cry tears of joy thinking about it, and we're excited to take things to the next level.

So join us on the journey. Let’s ensure this next generation is prepared to take on every challenge we face in our world. With social, emotional, and academic skills.

Note: We're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Your contribution is tax-deductible.

When we hit $300 per month, we'll be able to launch more stories per month with a freelance editor (who's amazing) that would love to jump in.
