Callkathyis creating stories about my poems, etc.
All the benefits of the lower level plus:
- Two free personalized one line poems per year
(You supply the theme, I supply a poem of 30 words or less.)
Have you ever wanted
to have someone write poems just for you? Here's your chance. I write one line
poems for my patrons. Think of these as the kind of thing you would put in a
personalized greeting card or love note. How many will I write for you? Depends
on your patron level… see the levels on the right for details. (Wondering what
a one line poem is? Wonder no longer!)
What do I post?
I post short essays about my love of words. These essays are about where the word of the day came from. Where the poetry came from. My life.
Most work days I share a word of the day here, on FB, and on Twitter. But here is the only place you will learn the background of the word. How I found it, why I picked it, what it says to me. (I reserve the right to skip a day once in a while.)
Once a week, I share the story behind my one line poem submission to Chalkboard's One Line Poem project. Other posts are the story around a recently published poem. I tend towards clear, heartfelt, breathing poems about what is going on in my life. I write a resistance poetry, as well as pieces about my past, my feelings, my loves, my life.
Why become a patron?
If you are interested in learning the stories behind my poems, become a patron. If you want to expand your vocabulary, become a patron. If you just love words and want to know more of them, become my patron.
Eventually, I will be putting together a couple of ebooks. One will contain my one line pieces (both previously published and unpublished). The other will contain a series of read aloud stories for kids. Both will be available to patrons before I put them up for sale on Amazon.
