My name is Sam and I like a lot of things - mathematics, nature, technology, spirituality, family, and definitely - MUSIC.  Back in the late 90s and early ‘00s, I played guitar in a variety of bands and in a variety of styles - mostly metal, but also jazz, rock, funk.  At one point I was playing in 5 bands simultaneously.  Music was absolutely my passion.

During this time I was studying Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech.  Once I graduated and “got a real job” I quit playing in bands altogether.  As I write this, that was over 14 years ago.

In the past few years, there has been a growing hunger inside me to get back into music.  However, I have learned a lot from my career as a technology researcher, and have begun to study electronic music.  I’ve started to amass a collection of electronics - mostly Eurorack modular synthesizer components - used to make music.  I’m also leveraging a lot of the expertise I’ve developed in the area of computer graphics to accompany the music.

I’m enamored by the idea that we, as humans, are turning ourselves inside out - that is, we’re creating external manifestations of our deep inner imaginations and selves.  That is what I am hoping to express though my music - that our technological environment that we have created is a reflection of our inner selves, and that we should become increasingly aware of that and how our creations affect the rest of creation.

Please join me - any support from Patreon will go directly towards helping me spend more resources on this endeavor, and to make longer form, more polished, and more fully realized pieces.  I have a vision of creating many things, including feature-length movie scores, video game scores, and albums.

Thanks for checking out my work!
