About Claire Wemyss

I connect people with the resources and conversations that can improve their quality of life. I currently do child rearing, community management, coaching, martial arts instruction, and volunteer coordination. I create spaces that are safe and affirming, offer challenge, and build recognition of what has been accomplished.

  • moderation of conversations around human rights, accessibility, oppression, and individual growth
  • running free group sessions twice monthly that develop emotional and community skills
  • teaching a weekly pay-what-you-can martial arts class
  • writing and delivering workshops that address gaps in community practices, such as training relationship communication or use of force negotiation
  • lead individuals to coordinate to put pressure on organizations to improve policy and practices
  • connecting vulnerable individuals to support and accountability tools in their community
  • coaching leaders on personal and interpersonal habits to improve their effectiveness and resiliance
  • liasing with marginalized and vulnerable people and groups to get and convey feedback about community practices while supporting their physical and emotional well-being
  • staying up-to-date about restorative justice and community resilience practices
  • providing direct education and consultation 
  • developing practical strategies for bridge building and goodwill to expand advocacy networks
