Hey! Hi! Hello, good sir or madam! I'm Steven, AKA The Coding Hobo, and I'm here with a message from the future! So grab a chair, pour yourself something delicious, and have a listen.

..

Sorry, no, not really. I don't have some amazing backstory. I'm not a time-traveling game development rockstar like Notch, or John Romero, or ... Sting, or whoever it is people idolize these days. I'm a dude, with a corporate job, who decided one day that it would probably be a LOT more fun to wake up in the morning and work on video games than it would ever be to wake up and write process management software.

Here's the thing though. While I'm an experienced coder, I haven't tried to write a game since I was like... eight. So I know these early months are going to full of borderline garbage. What I want to do with this Patreon is to share that journey from trash heap to top sellers list with whoever wants to watch and listen... and also some people who just want to scam some free games.

To build up my skills, I'm planning to use this account to develop some cheap proof-of-concept projects, and maybe some modern rewrites of classics I played as a kid, for instructional purposes. Once I have the skills, I plan to start transitioning over to regular full-time development, but maybe if this were to prove popular enough, we'll keep it going. A little secret side project that just you and I know about. Well, and that guy over there. And the other one. But you get it, right? Right.

Hey, if you made it this far into the wall of text, thanks for reading! I hope you stick around and maybe become a patron. If you don't, heck, follow me anyway. Anything I do for this Patreon WILL be released for free ---- I'll likely adopt a patrons-first model at some point, but we're not there yet. So again, thanks for two minutes of your attention!

What's better than a dollar? Multiple dollars! Also, you really, really shouldn't be giving me money. But since you seem intent on doing so, I should probably give you something.

- My undying love (better than the first tier)

- Early access, once there are things to access early

Seriously, why are you doing this? Money can be used to purchase goods and services. Goods and services that are far superior to whatever it is you think you're getting here.

REWARDS:
- My undying love (WAY better than the first tier)
- Early access, once there are things to access early

- I'll send some kind of handmade hobo or game item each month, because even hobos have hobbies
