Last summer, I started experimenting with a cord-cutting newsletter, drawing on my weekly TechHive column where I've chronicled the decline of cable TV since 2014. What began as a labor of love has quickly grown into an engaged audience of nearly 6,000 subscribers and growing, who are eager to learn more about watching TV on their own terms.

This Patreon page is an experiment in turning Cord Cutter Weekly into something bigger. The newsletter will always remain free, and I have no desire to monetize it through ads or sponsors, but if you'd like to show your appreciation for Cord Cutter Weekly with cash, here's the place to do it.

A little more about me: I've been a professional journalist for over 10 years, and have covered personal technology since 2008. That's also about the time I dropped cable TV in favor of streaming video and over-the-air broadcasts. When I'm not building Cord Cutter Weekly, I write for PCWorld, TechHive, and Fast Company from Cincinnati, where I live with my wife and two kids.

Hosting costs covered!
Although I use a no-frills newsletter service to keep costs down, I still pay for email delivery and web hosting. Even a tiny contribution will help defray those costs.
