Hi friends,

My name is Courtney, and I love participating in and facilitating community conversation. I serve teens, young adults, and their families and supporters as a life coach, and an important element of this work is self-awareness.

As I support this exploration and discovery, I see young people discovering that their lens does not contain the full truth. My own process has been much the same. As a white woman who grew up in a middle-class home in America, I inherited a view that contains implicit bias, systemic racism, and white centrism.

It is my goal to engage in deep, meaningful, difficult, and necessary conversations about decentering whiteness. Through this process, I will share resources, tools, and invitations to engage in exploring and dismantling white privilege, spiritual bypass, and white fragility. I am broadening the work that I do to include not just teens and parents, but anyone who identifies as a white female.

I will continue to show up as a life coach, writer, facilitator, speaker, and educator. I will make mistakes. I will keep learning. I will always do better. And through this journey, it is my hope that others will join the conversation, work alongside me, and create communities that are safe and possible for everyone to thrive, not just survive.

Thanks for being here,
Courtney
