I'm Julie and I'm a creator, writer, and book nerd. I co-founded Blogbound, created #quietYA and run its social media (twitter and tumblr), and write for YA Interrobang. Additionally, I created #AskAnAce, a chat for asexual-spectrum people to talk about our experiences and educate allosexual people, and #bookishwish, a tag for people to get their book-related wishes granted.

As much as I love all of these projects, they don't pay - at all. I've been unemployed since spring 2015. I did a semester abroad in fall 2015, then graduated college in May 2016. I've been job hunting since then and despite four years of freelance experience and three internships, I'm struggling to find work. I've taken on some freelance manuscripts and publicity work and don't have many bills, but I can't really justify doing all of the creating and writing I do and want to keep doing without some sort of income. I'm also a really deadline and incentive motivated person - knowing I have deadlines and people paying me to provide services helps motivate me to keep working. I feed off positive reinforcement.

My tiers are all somewhat vague, because I want your input. Is there something I should try, a list I should make, something you want to learn about? I'd love to hear your suggestions! If you can't afford to subscribe to a patreon right now, I completely understand and I hope to be able to make a lot of these things available for free in the future. But for now, I'd just like to have a little more financial security so I can worry less and create more.

You can find me on twitter, on instagram, on my blog, and on ko-fi.

$75 covers most of my monthly expenses. I cover Netflix for my family ($10.99). I pay for iCloud since my computer doesn't have a ton of storage and I need easy access to a lot of things (.99). I like supporting other patrons, so after making sure those bills are covered, I should also be able to give at least a little support to all the people I want to.
