Have I mentioned that I have a Master's degree in Library & Information Science? So I'm pretty confident in my curatorial abilities. At this level, you'll receive The Despair Devotional—a curated a selection of articles, spells, games, and other interesting things I've found that month—as well as access to posts.

The Despair Devotional, posts, and I will draw a picture of you as a cat (if you don't want to send me your picture, I will still draw you a cat).

About Deirdre Coyle

Hello! I'm a writer and goth living in Brooklyn, currently working on several books. My current income comes entirely from freelance work (writing, editing, and digital production), and while I love being able to do that, the more I freelance, the less time I have to work on my own projects. I like the idea of using Patreon as a tip jar; any extra money helps me make space to write about goth stuff, monsters, women, and witchcraft.

If you're into credentials, I've been awarded fellowships and residencies from the MacDowell Colony, the Kerouac Project, and the Antioch Writers' Workshop. I wrote the chapbook How to Talk to Writers at Parties. My fiction and essays have appeared in The Texas Observer, The New Republic, Electric Literature, Lit Hub, Hobart Pulp, Joyland, and elsewhere.

I live online; you can find me on Twitter and Instagram at @DeirdreKoala most of the time.
